Kishu Charcoal

Kishu Charcoal Use your BottlesUp to filter your water naturally with Kishu Charcoal, a unique charcoal used by the Japanese for centuries to purify drinking water. Holm oak trees are sustainably harvested then slowly fired in traditional kiln ovens over many days. Easy to use. Simply place the charcoal in your bottle, where it immediately begins absorbing impurities and imparting healthy minerals like calcium and potassium. Let sit overnight for optimal absorption. A single piece lasts up to four months and is completely compostable.
Maintenance

Kishu Charcoal should be boiled once per month to keep its pores open. Simply place in a shallow pan of water and bring to a boil for 10 minutes. Allow to dry for 30 minutes before reusing.

Second Life

Kishu Charcoal has great secondary uses: absorbing odors in the refrigerator (better than baking soda!), closet, shoes, garbage pail etc. Or break it up and mix into your garden soil as biochar where it will help improve water absorption.

100% Green

Kishu Charcoal is a green water filter product. From its production (100% natural oak branches) to its packaging (recycled paper stock and compostable clear sleeve made from wood pulp), not to mention its secondary uses.
